Hilariously ridiculous.
When another Chinese experiment goes wrong, this time possibly by some poor university student studying the weather or topography, who will no doubt be in a serious bit of bother.
If the US really did feel threatened, I’d imagine someone would be up there right now taking the thing out or steering it away by tow. It will fall soon enough, purely through the matter of physics and science you learn in school.
I think the US will monitor its height and chart it’s progress and collect it as a high school souvenir project at a later date.
You know what the Chinese did wrong here?
They didn’t take the opportunity to add some marketing on here!
Maybe advertise some tasty food on the top for the hungry aliens and on the bottom for takeout!
And if you think that sounds ridiculous you just call it a spy balloon out loud… hmmm credible.
