What as a RNY patient can I eat.

I hope this gives you reassurance you can still eat after gastric bypass surgery.

I home cook and use recipe books for inspiration. This is just some of what I make, I live in the UK so my diet may not be the same, I try to eat high protein, low carb. I avoid rice and pasta but do have some occasionally. I also don’t eat much bread you can see in the photos how much of that I actually eat and I don’t eat it every day.

I hope you get some good inspiration and if you cook anything you’d like to share, I’d love to see it!

I’ve lost just under 8 stone so far.

Beef, I love apple sauce.
Evening meal, Beef dinner
Crackers with light cheese and branston pickle. I can manage 1 of these.
I just ate the tandoori chicken and some of the salad from this homemade kebab.
Treat day.
Low sugar hot choc or a heated protein drink as a treat
Homemade carrot and parsnip soup plus other soups, so easy to make.
I cant manage all of this maybe half
Poached egg, I don’t really eat the toast.
Scampi, tomato with olive oil on toast, beans cheese and sausage, the last one I struggle to eat.
Steamed veg with seasoned chicken and soft cheese
Homemade vegetable curry
As much as I can manage but still satisfied, bacon sandwich
Lamb dinner
Pork dinner
Chicken Mayo, humous, homemade onion bhaji style

Let’s see yours!
