Not for you, oh no, for your significant other/husband/wife/partner.
My husband now complains that he is putting weight on because I’m self conscious about leaving my food if we eat out.
It’s true, but I know he’s unhappy about it.
When we are out I don’t always want to eat off the starter Menu or draw attention to the fact I had surgery. So I order what I want. I do often make healthier choices but occasionally of course you want a change.
I can eat about 1 scrambled egg sized portion at a time so we usually eat at tapas restaurants. When we don’t it’s either Turkish, Italian or Indian.
So if I fancy the bolognaise from a spaghetti bolognaise, he will often eat most of the pasta for me so the server doesn’t ask if I didn’t enjoy my meal which leaves me feeling the need to explain myself.

He knows he doesn’t need to eat it but he hates seeing me so uncomfortable in these social situations.
With Bariatric surgery becoming so common in the UK it would be wonderful to see more friendly restaurants with healthier portion sizes and prices to match.
I wish I had the funds to open somewhere like this. If you open one in West Yorkshire please let me know! We will visit!
